The 2020 GEICO Pathway to Completion Associate Degree Scholars are Helen Menendez of Miami Dade College in Florida and Elena Omerini of the College of Southern Nevada in Nevada.

These scholarships are presented by GEICO and Phi Theta Kappa to Society members who have held significant leadership positions on campus or in their communities, with preference given to those who have served as leaders in their PTK chapter or on the regional or international levels of Phi Theta Kappa.

GEICO is a sponsor of Phi Theta Kappa’s annual convention and has given more than $4 million to support scholarships and programs for Phi Theta Kappa members. GEICO also provides scholarships for the completion of associate and master’s degrees and for the professional development of chapter advisors.

“These students have set themselves apart through their hard work in the classroom and good works in their communities and on their campuses,” GEICO Assistant Vice President of Marketing Bill Brower said. “We congratulate them and are proud that our partnership with Phi Theta Kappa will support them as they continue their educational pursuits and efforts to improve their communities.”
