$3,000 Awarded to GEICO Pathway to Completion Bachelor’s Degree Scholars

March 27, 2020

Two Phi Theta Kappa members have each received $1,500 scholarships from Phi Theta Kappa and GEICO.

The 2020 GEICO Pathway to Completion Bachelor’s Degree Scholars are:

Veronique Manfredini, Brookdale Community College, New Jersey
Neville Scott, Mountain View College, Texas

These scholarships are presented by GEICO and Phi Theta Kappa to Society members who have held a significant leadership position on campus or in their communities, with preference given to those who have held chapter, regional, or international office within Phi Theta Kappa.

GEICO is a sponsor of Phi Theta Kappa’s annual convention and has given more than $4 million to support scholarships and programs for Phi Theta Kappa members. GEICO also provides scholarships for the completion of associate and master’s degrees and for the professional development of chapter advisors.

“These students have set themselves apart through their hard work in the classroom and good works in their communities and on their campuses,” GEICO Assistant Vice President of Marketing Bill Brower said. “We congratulate them and are proud that our partnership with Phi Theta Kappa will support them as they continue their educational pursuits and efforts to improve their communities.”
