As the Vice President of Fundraising for our Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) chapter, my role is to create and implement initiatives that generate resources to support our chapter’s activities and projects. I am dedicated to ensuring... that my peers and colleagues have access to the tools and opportunities they need to succeed academically and personally. I am passionate about fostering a sense of collaboration and community among our members, believing that shared efforts lead to greater achievements. PTK has given me a platform to grow as a leader and engage with a diverse group of individuals who inspire me to push my boundaries and grow. This experience has prepared me for my future endeavors and reinforced the importance of teamwork, resilience, and innovation.
As a PTK leader and Officer, I am determined to set up our chapter for long-term success by building a solid foundation of resources, opportunities, and a supportive community. Challenges will always arise, but I believe that with determination and a positive mindset, we can overcome anything! My dedication to my position stems from my belief in the transformative power of education and service. I am committed to empowering my peers to not only succeed academically but also grow as individuals and leaders. The Phi Theta Kappa Founders Medal Award recognizes a graduating PTK member who has written the finest essay reflecting on the value of a community college education each year. This award is sponsored by Phi Theta ...Kappa’s Board of Directors.
Eligible applicants must be a Phi Theta Kappa member participating in commencement in the Spring of 2025 and may only submit a manuscript while enrolled in a two-year program or one-year certificate.
The winning student will receive a special medal at graduation and a $1,000 cash scholarship.
