Broadway star, Miguel Cervantes, is taking the stage at PTK Catalyst 2025.

Miguel Cervantes starred as Alexander Hamilton in the Chicago run of Hamilton: An American Musical from 2016 to 2020. The Chicago Tribune praised his “coiled intensity” and named Miguel the Chicagoan of the Year in theater in 2019 for his mastery of the role. Following his standout performances in the Chicago run of Hamilton, Miguel was handpicked by Lin Manuel-Miranda, the show’s creator and original Alexander Hamilton actor, to play the lead role of the title character on Broadway.

Miguel received critical acclaim for his portrayal of Alexander Hamilton, and he performed the role on Broadway from 2020 to 2024.

Prior to Hamilton, Miguel made headlines for his performance in Broadway’s American Idiot musical based on the chart-topping Green Day album, as well as in the box office hit If/Then. Miguel has performed in countless productions all over the country, from his hometown of Dallas to Boston, where he attended Emerson College.

In addition to his work in theater, Miguel is a dedicated activist and an entrepreneur.

Miguel’s daughter was diagnosed with a rare epileptic disorder. She died just days before Miguel would receive the call for his big break to return to Broadway.

All throughout and continuing after their young daughter’s battle with epilepsy, Cervantes and his wife Kelly became active in the Chicago nonprofit CURE Epilepsy, where Kelly serves on the board and as the organization’s chair.

He and Hamilton co-star Andrew Call founded the all-in-one golf accessory company Shu Caddy. Currently, Miguel is also the founder, owner, and operator of Dingers, a baseball batting cage facility near his home in New Jersey.

At PTK Catalyst 2025, Miguel will break the theatrical fourth wall to present an immersive keynote speech. In a performance unlike any other, he will bring the spirit of Hamilton to Catalyst, playing many of the show-stopping tunes from the musical, while weaving in entertaining stories from his experiences on stage and his life behind the scenes.

He will share how losing his daughter propelled him to channel his heartache into his purpose and life’s work. Miguel will use his platform to empower audiences to embrace the lead role in their lives, turn challenges into triumphs, and find the flame within that will guide them on the path to accomplishing the incredible in their next act.

Miguel will take the stage during General Session Four at PTK Catalyst 2025 on Saturday, April 5, 2025 in Kansas City, Missouri.
