Catawba College recently increased their PTK Scholarship and now accepts Middle College and Early College, increasing its accessibility and inclusivity for PTK members. Tell us about your college’s new transfer scholarship for members of Phi Theta Kappa.
Catawba College is proud to offer a $1,000 Phi Theta Kappa scholarship. This scholarship is renewable each semester of a recipient’s four-year (eight-semester) undergraduate program provided the recipient remains in good academic standing. The scholarship is designed to motivate Phi Theta Kappa members to continue their higher education from a community college into a bachelor’s degree. The recipient must be a member of Phi Theta Kappa to receive the scholarship and will be awarded upon receipt of their membership certificate. Also, the college will accept Middle College and Early College as part of the PTK Scholarship for $1,000. Students will need to have a 3.0 or higher and send in their PTK Certificate.The scholarship is awarded at the time of acceptance, and a notification will appear in the applicant’s Financial Aid Packet.

Are there other transfer scholarships that could be stacked with your Phi Theta Kappa award?
The Phi Theta Kappa scholarship is stackable with other scholarships such as Merit-Based Scholarships, departmental scholarship, and athletic scholarships.
We provide 100% of our full-time transfer students a Merit-Based Scholarships once students are granted admission to the Catawba College. Major-Based Departmental Scholarships range from $500 to $5000 and are based on a student’s interest in a particular major, and additional Catawba Scholarships are awarded to students based on a student’s participation in Athletic Teams, Programs, and Clubs on Catawba College’s campus. Are there any special events or deadlines on your recruitment calendar that you would like to share?
Transfer students are strongly encouraged to submit their college transcript(s), official final high school transcript, Transfer Reference From, and application for admission to Catawba College by August 1 for the fall semester and no later than two weeks prior to the Spring semester.
