Phi Theta Kappa’s annual Scholar Dash plays a vital role in our efforts to expand access to PTK membership, helping thousands of students benefit from the opportunities we provide. This event not only raises funds but also shines a spotlight on the Golden Opportunity Scholarship, which makes membership possible for students who might otherwise miss out on PTK’s academic, leadership, and personal growth experiences. By participating in the Scholar Dash, you are helping to open doors for students and empower the next generation of scholars.

We know many students cannot afford the cost of membership, but we also know that many cannot afford not to. Unlike other 5Ks, Scholar Dash promotes fellowship rather than speed. Registrants set their pace, course, and fundraising goals. The annual event also recognizes top fundraisers and regions with various awards and prizes. The event fosters a sense of community and competition among PTK regions, chapters, and individual members, all aiming to support future PTK members.

Membership in Phi Theta Kappa begins at recognition, but it doesn’t end there. Everything we do is dedicated to helping students make the absolute most out of their college experience. As a leading non-profit in the community college space, the only one who profits from our membership is the students. We know many students cannot afford the cost of membership, but we also know that many cannot afford not to.
