Why does your college feel that it is important to offer a scholarship opportunity for members?
As a member of Phi Theta Kappa, we celebrate that you have demonstrated the ability to excel in and outside of the classroom as a student and a leader. Emmanuel College is excited to acknowledge this achievement with a minimum of $18,000 with a 3.3 college GPA to celebrate your achievements!
What other opportunities are available for transfer students at your institution to assist them in successfully transitioning from community college?
Transfer students at Emmanuel College participate in an orientation that will serve as their formal introduction to the Emmanuel College community. During the program, students will have the opportunity to meet faculty, staff, student leaders, and fellow transfer students. At orientation, students will begin to make friends, learn about their new community, find out about important resources and opportunities available, and select courses for the fall.
Transfer students will also be assigned an Academic Advisor who will assist you in constructing your academic plan and choosing the courses that you need based on your incoming transfer credits. Usually within your first semester at Emmanuel, you will declare your major and move into the chosen department with a faculty advisor in your area of interest.
In addition to a multitude of clubs, organizations, and athletics programs, transfer students also have access to our Career Center, where professional staff assist you with resume review, interview preparation, and engagement in the career development process as you prepare for your internships that are a required part of Emmanuel’s core curriculum.
In your opinion, what is one of the most impressive things about your college?
