Forty-three Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) members have received the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s (JKCF) 2020 Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship. They will each receive up to $40,000 a year for up to three years to complete an undergraduate degree.

Five community college students have been elected to represent their peers as Phi Theta Kappa International Officers for the 2020-2021 academic year.

The student body of most community colleges is multi-generational and consists of Baby Boomers, Gen Z, and everyone in between. But, a new generation is emerging, one that is more diverse, hardworking, balanced, and action-oriented: the PTK Generation.

Mississippi student Savannah Barnes shares how peeling a single potato helped reduce her stress during this challenging time.

Two Phi Theta Kappa members have each received $2,500 scholarships from Phi Theta Kappa and GEICO.

Antonia Adams, a business major at Piedmont Technical College in South Carolina, has been named the 2020 Christopher A. Calhoun Scholar and will receive a $1,000 scholarship.

Catawba College recently increased their PTK Scholarship  and now accepts Middle College and Early College, increasing its accessibility and inclusivity for PTK members.

Ten Phi Theta Kappa members have been named 2020 Hites Scholars and will each receive a $7,500 scholarship for baccalaureate studies.

Fifteen Phi Theta Kappa members have been named 2020 Guistwhite Scholars and will each receive a $5,000 scholarship for baccalaureate studies.

Marie Febrillet, a student at Passaic County Community College in New Jersey, has received the TEK Productions Scholarship of $500 from TEK Productions and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.

Two Phi Theta Kappa members have each received $1,500 scholarships from Phi Theta Kappa and GEICO.

“At Big Bend Community College (Washington), members of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for community college students, spent spring break making protective face masks that will go to Samaritan Healthcare, which asked for help.”

Twenty college students have been named to the prestigious 2020 All-USA Academic Team and will each receive a $5,000 scholarship.

Forty-nine college students have been named 2020 New Century Transfer Pathway Scholars and will each receive a $2,250 scholarship.
