To do this, I speak French to them and send them to bilingual programs and school so that they can see and meet other people speaking the language. It is a gift because learning the language has come naturally while they’ve grown up. It is very rich because it gives you access to a whole other culture. 🩷🌍

The Phi Theta Kappa Founders Medal Award recognizes a graduating PTK member who has written the finest essay reflecting on the value of a community college education each year. This award is sponsored by Phi Theta ...Kappa’s Board of Directors.
Eligible applicants must be a Phi Theta Kappa member participating in commencement in the Spring of 2025 and may only submit a manuscript while enrolled in a two-year program or one-year certificate.
The winning student will receive a special medal at graduation and a $1,000 cash scholarship.
