Welcome to the membership acceptance page for the Alpha Kappa Beta Chapter at Jamestown Community College, Main Campus! We are thrilled to have you here and are excited to welcome you to our community of high achievers. Joining the Alpha Kappa Beta Chapter means becoming a part of a powerful community of diverse college students dedicated to making their own futures through service and leadership. The Alpha Kappa Beta Chapter, established in 1984, is home to over 2,867 members and alumni, all committed to making a lasting impact through leadership, service, and academic excellence.

Members of the Alpha Kappa Beta Chapter who aspire to receive a bachelor's degree have access to millions of dollars in transfer scholarsips from PTK's four-year partners--these awards provide significant savings towards tuition at over 800 four-year colleges and universities. Also, $119,500 has been awarded in competitive scholarships from PTK's Foundation in recent years. These scholarships help ease the financial burden of college, enabling members to focus on their studies and future careers.

Benefits of PTK

Membership in Phi Theta Kappa starts with recognition, but its benefits extend far beyond that. At PTK, our scholarships are substantial, and our programs are grounded in research, ensuring that every initiative is designed to maximize your college experience. One of our newest and most exciting additions is the FAFSA Mentor program. This innovative service acts as your personal assistant for navigating the FAFSA process.

Phi Theta Kappa stands out as a nonprofit organization dedicated to your success. This means that every initiative and resource is designed with your best interests in mind, rather than profit. By joining PTK, you're not just accessing exclusive networking opportunities and leadership development; you're becoming part of a mission-driven community focused on genuine support and growth.

Personal and Professional Development

Don't have time for chapter meetings? As a member, you'll have unlimited access to a variety of courses known as PTK Edge™. These courses are designed to help you prepare for transfer to a four-year college, develop career skills, and foster personal growth. You can take them at a time and pace that fits your schedule.

No matter your goal, PTK Edge™ gives you the edge you need to get ahead. These courses are free, online, self-paced, and offered exclusively to Phi Theta Kappa members. Successful completion of each of these courses leads to micro credential badging, lapel pins to accessorize your business dress, and we even keep track of it on your very own PTK Co-curricular transcript.
