Welcome to the information page for the Alpha Omega Xi Chapter at Heartland Community College, Normal Campus! We are thrilled to have you here and are excited to welcome you to our community of high achievers. Joining the Alpha Omega Xi Chapter means becoming a part of a powerful community of diverse college students dedicated to making their own futures through service and leadership. The Alpha Omega Xi Chapter, established in 1994, is home to over 3,312 members and alumni, all committed to making a lasting impact through leadership, service, and academic excellence.

The chapter leaders at the Alpha Omega Xi Chapter have been working on service and research projects both on campus and in the community. Here are a few of their recent projects:

• Dancing Through the Decades: Healing Trauma through Nostalgic Prom at Heartland Community College
• Changing the Narrative on Incarceration: Helping, Healing and Hope - Three panels of formerly incarcerated persons each focusing on one theme each: The Dangerous One-Sided Narrative, Women and Incarceration and Perpetual Punishment
• Hawk Talks: Providing the Knowledge to Soar

Scholarships

Members of the Alpha Omega Xi Chapter who aspire to receive a bachelor's degree have access to millions of dollars in transfer scholarships from PTK's four-year partners--these awards provide significant savings towards tuition at over 800 four-year colleges and universities. Also, $6,250 has been awarded in competitive scholarships from PTK's Foundation in recent years. These scholarships help ease the financial burden of college, enabling members to focus on their studies and future careers.
