Welcome to the information page for the Kappa Tau Chapter at Metropolitan Community College, Longview Campus! We are thrilled to have you here and are excited to welcome you to our community of high achievers. Joining the Kappa Tau Chapter means becoming a part of a powerful community of diverse college students dedicated to making their own futures through service and leadership. The Kappa Tau Chapter, established in 1960, is home to over 5,147 members and alumni, all committed to making a lasting impact through leadership, service, and academic excellence.

The chapter leaders at the Kappa Tau Chapter have been working on service and research projects both on campus and in the community. Here are a few of their recent projects:

  • MCC Summer Camp - STEM Tract
  • High Impact Practices for Leveraging Technology in Education
  • Expanding a Campus Food Pantry to Include the Donation of Winter Apparel

Scholarships

Members of the Kappa Tau Chapter who aspire to receive a bachelor's degree have access to millions of dollars in transfer scholarsips from PTK's four-year partners--these awards provide significant savings towards tuition at over 800 four-year colleges and universities. Also, $11,000 has been awarded in competitive scholarships from PTK's Foundation in recent years. These scholarships help ease the financial burden of college, enabling members to focus on their studies and future careers.
