Joining the Nu Lambda Chapter means becoming a part of a powerful community of diverse college students dedicated to making their own futures through service and leadership. The Nu Lambda Chapter, established in 1964, is home to over 6,004 members and alumni, all committed to making a lasting impact through leadership, service, and academic excellence.
The chapter leaders at the Nu Lambda Chapter have been working on service and research projects both on campus and in the community. Here are a few of their recent projects:
- Expanding the Peer Mentoring Program at Truman College
- Dismantling Social Constructs Using the Power of Voice: Strong Self-Identities as a Legacy of Truth
- Supporting New Students and Their Transition to Truman College
Scholarships
Members of the Nu Lambda Chapter who aspire to receive a bachelor's degree have access to millions of dollars in transfer scholarsips from PTK's four-year partners--these awards provide significant savings towards tuition at over 800 four-year colleges and universities. Also, $196,880 has been awarded in competitive scholarships from PTK's Foundation in recent years. These scholarships help ease the financial burden of college, enabling members to focus on their studies and future careers.
